Randi I posted on your wall, but I wanted you to know that I just found out about your book today! I cannot wait to get a copy!!! I do want you to know my heart as a mother and a professional. I remember sitting in that first "meeting" and my heart aching when your son did not even know you! I cried with you, inside and out! I could only imagine. OMG!! What a marvel. I LOVED YOUR BOOK. People ask why I read this type of book. It's because in the end it is uplifting. Chase got better. I don't know if I would have had the patience you had. You seemed so calm. I would have ranted and raved and that only makes things worse. I think I would have tried the forced normalization because it seemed like that was all there was left. Shame on those who didn't get back to you or ignored you. I just can't compliment you enough.

Randi - I just finished reading your book and I must tell you how in awe I am of your courage and determination. Chase is a very blessed boy to have such a wonderful mother. I worked with the state's Department of Health and Human Services for years and must say your portrayal of the department's director of facilities and secretary - both not natives of NC - was spot on.
